Theosophy and The Theosophical Society

Founder of the Theosophical Society, Madame Helena Blavatsky was instrumental in providing information through her writings about the concept of Theosophy. "Theo" meaning God and "Sophy" meaning knowledge, Theosophy advocated understanding and obtaining higher knowledge and enlightenment through direct communication with God and spirit.
